Missed Signals

Publication / Typography

Missed Signals is a publication designed to evoke, engage, and interact with its audience. The functional design, physically and visually represent the experience of ‘fatigue’, a common symptom of Multiple Sclerosis.

The typography and visual language expressed captures and relays information about the disease, personalising it through analogy and quotes of first hand accounts.

To commence reading, the reader must break the cover. This action engages the reader physically, making them apart of the process and design, whilst also conveying characteristics of the disease. Various pages throughout the book must also be broken to uncover more information.

This publication is dedicated to my mother, whom has lived with MS for over three decades.
